Condolence on the Passing of Patriarch Maxim of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church

Etchmiadzin, 07 November, 2012: On 6 November, 2012 His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, sent a Condolence Letter to the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, the clergy and the pious faithful, on the occasion of the passing of the leader of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church; His Holiness Patriarch Maxim.

The Pontifical Condolence says: "Patriarch Maxim of Blessed Memory shepherded the Bulgarian Orthodox faithful with great devotion and zeal. Through his efforts, the Orthodox Church made significant progress towards fostering and renewing the spiritual life of Bulgarian Christians. As a true shepherd, Patriarch Maxim also demonstrated a strong will to preserve the strength and unity of the Church.

… We will remember the blessed Patriarch in our prayers with kindness and ask that God eternal receives the soul of the blessed Patriarch Maxim in His Heavenly Kingdom."

On 9 November, 2012 a delegation from the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church will be participating in the funeral service of His Holiness Patriarch Maxim of Blessed Memory.
